Ebony skintones are prone to acne and oily skin. Therefore when not properly cared for unnessasary blemish and discoloration occurs. This is called -hyperpigmentation.
The following are tips for that beautiful Ebony glow.

•Start with a simple skin care routine.
Cleanse your face daily — as little as once a day if it's dry, no more than 2 times if your goal is to remove excess oil. Gentle treatment is key for any skin type — avoid abrasive cleansers or irritating cleansing puffs or loofahs.

•Choose products suitable for your skin type.
When choosing products always stick to products specifically blended for your skin type. Oily skin should opt for oil free products. Dry skin should use sensitive skin products.

•Always use sunscreen.
SPF 15-30 is best for Ebony skintones. Sun damage can occur in darker complections causing dark spots and wrinkes.

•Make wise choices when selecting makeup.
Match your makeup with your skin tone for a natural look. Have dry skin? Oil-based makeup is best. And for acne-prone, oily skin, water-based is the way to go.

Today we talk about eyebrows..

Some women are lucky and don’t have to do more to their eyebrows than brush into a neat shape. For the rest of us, shaping may be necessary. Any tweezing or waxing should already be done. Some women need to pencil in sparse areas in their brows; do so with a matching pencil made for this purpose. For most black women, a brown, gray or black pencil will do. The pencil should be for filling in areas only, not for drawing a complete set of eyebrows.
